business first

I'm back from vacation with two new stories freshly published.

Big Pulp has published "Balesat's Ashes" in its first print edition. I don't know if you've read the free versions of this zine, but it's up there with Electric Spec, in my opinion, really one of the best around. They're ambitious in their selections, both quality and quantity. There's always something for everyone. So go support Bill Oliver and his staff and buy buy buy!  There's also an  eVersion.

Also, Short-Story.me! has published "The Oath of Brutus",  a bit of risk-taking for me prose- and story-wise. I'd love to know what you think of it. It's headlining over there right now. Also on the front page is Electric Spec partner David Hughes' "Spinner."  Check it out.

Now for fun: I'm listening to Danger Days by My Chemical Romance. Excellent, excellent album. Reading about their story with this album (threw an old one out, started over with a new vision of what THEY wanted, not what the market deemed safe) reminds me of so many similar stories of late: U2, Killers, Linkin Park and Green Day, with their rock operas.  Worth a listen, definitely. Plus, the lead singer, Gerard Way, is a writer! He writes the graphic novels/comics called THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY. I haven't read them yet, but my son got them for his birthday and loves them.

Anyway, I spent nearly every minute of my vacation with friends, snowboarding, partying, skating, sledding... tre fun!

No real resolutions for me. I don't believe in that shit. Hope you and yours are healthy and happy in 2011.

I don't believe in resolutions for ME. I don't need them. After all, I'm perfect the way I am, right? Right? Where ya goin...?
