Now my damned book's throwing curve balls and any other stupid cliche you can think of that means Everything's Changed.

It's Chapter 18! I knew it would be momentous. It felt like a leaping off point where I was gripping a stringless parachute and a prayer.

One of the themes is liminality and straddling thresholds. A multi-verse seems to work particularly well for that, so I have two worlds in this book. I've fought with how to tie the two together with something beyond characters moving back and forth, and today I found it--well, half of it.

Half a fucking idea that Changes Everything.
